Updates on the Cloneys
Nothing much exciting happen lately. Zack's growing up, he's a chatterbox sometimes. Last Sunday, in the creche at church, one of the lady said, Zack was very good, a little girl fell, Zack went to help her up.
Phil's dad is alright. We go see him every alternate weekdays and every weekends. Do his groceries shopping, his laundry, clean his house once awhile, etc. Well...he is 86 years old, his memory not very good. Everytime he write a cheque, he wrote the year 2006 instead of 2008. Me think his brain stops working at 2006, he he.... He remember things happened years ago, during war time, etc. He enjoyed Zack around, enjoys watching Zack, kept saying, "someone would loves to see you". Sometimes, he kind of forgot about his other grandchildren in New Zealand, kept saying that Zack is his only grandson, Phil got to keep reminding him that he has another 2 grandson and a granddaughter in NZ. It's sad isn't it? That's old age I guess. God brought us to this world as a baby and leave this world with a baby memory. Phil kept saying, don't know what to do with dad. I always remind him, there is nothing we could do, as long as we look after him, make sure he takes his medicine, make sure he eats, make sure he has some food at home, etc. He doesn't like going in to a care home, so Phil told him, he got to look after himself if he wants to stay at home, he is quite happy to stay at home, he cook his dinner, he washes up the dishes, he likes chocolates, mints, coffee and tea, we get him a newspaper everytime we go, so he reads the paper and watch the tele. Apart from that, he is alright, just loneliness I guess. I do admire him.
Anyway, I am taking up childcare course (Cache Level 1) starting end of April, every Wednesday for 12 weeks. I think it's a government sponsored course so I suppose it's free.
